The Pickle Party is a little over two years old...it's been a crazy little ride. It seems like yesterday that we took our portfolio xtratuf photo. We've been trying to schedule the xtratuf re-creation photo for months, but we were on the procrastination train. Then something came up that required a family photo... We finally squeezed in a fifteen minute whirlwind photo shoot last week (thank you, Kelsey!) and they're perfect! A few weeks ago we received a call...apparently our adoption story was nominated and chosen as Senator Murkowski's 2015 Angel in Adoption honoree through CCAI. We weren't quite sure what that meant, but we're invited to some pretty cool happenings in DC this October...and a fancy gala (wonder if Pickle should wear her xtratufs?). What an incredible honor...we are sincerely humbled by the nomination.

Pickle is an extraordinary little human being. When we were "paper pregnant" and waiting, we had no concept of how fiercely we would love and want to protect this little one. I mean, who would've guessed that a goofy-tough-guy couple would turn into a couple of giant mush-balls? Bring on the sappy tears...life is a gift, folks. xo
