Who Has Time For Baby Books?

Way back in the olden days...almost forty years ago, my Mom started a baby book for her first-born child. I'm definitely not her favorite child, but I was her first...so she was diligent. A few years ago, I received my baby book in the mail. I was really impressed with my then-twenty-year old Mom - her pretty cursive writing told stories of my "firsts" and of certain traits I had acquired. One of my favorite entries had to do with some old time book called something like "Little Sally T'Isn't"...apparently I had developed a new argumentative trait and disagreed with everything? Weird. It used to crack me up when I read it...not so much now that I have a two year old. A two year old that says "NOOOO" to everything. It's karma, ten-fold. I totally get it, I deserve it...and sometimes it's ridiculously funny. I cherish my baby book that she put so much love into and I find that I'm unimpressed with my lack of "baby bookkeeping" skills. I know that someday, probably not too far in the future, the Pickle is going to ask me her first word, or when she took her first steps, etc.

Unfortunately, I didn't do a traditional baby book...but in this digital age, I took 10,000 photos of her first year, so I hope to piece it all together for her. I also did these monthly updates (a few choice months below) for family out of state. I am thankful that I took the time to make these, because maybe Pickle will be satisfied with these records. :)

Did you do a traditional baby book? Or an electronic version? I think there are several cool versions out there - like Lifecake...
