Brain Overload

Sometimes you just have to take a break.  I had the best intentions last night.  I'm blaming it on this - I started my day at 7AM and didn't leave the office until after 6PM...without eating a real meal all day.  Then I decided I would draft up a new L/XL ruffle skirt pattern for chicks.  Um yeah, apparently I forgot to account for several things when I drafted the pattern...namely that adding three inches, was actually adding six inches to the waistband.  WTH?!  I realized my error the second I cut the fabric for the prototype.  Dumb, dumb, dumb.  I will have to finish it because that's my new M.O. in the craft room.

I figured there are lovely ladies and gents out there who make their own patterns and here are some excellent links/tutorials to help you out...on those days you might need some extra brainpower or inspiration.  :)

Here's an adorable (or aborable as we say around here) little girl skirt complete with foldover waistband and glow in the dark fabric.  If I had enough fabric, I'd have one too...
