Over the Edge!

Imagine your surprise when you open the latest Alaska Contractor magazine and see your smiling face looking back at you.  That just happened. Our company participates in a fundraiser for the YMCA of Anchorage titled Over the Edge.  Which is exactly what this entails...a person rappelling down the side of a 13 story building.  Last year, we sent our President over and we all had a good laugh.  This year, one of our VP's asked two of us ladies in the office if we'd like to participate.  I was the lucky soul entrusted to rappel down the side of the building.  Did I forget to mention that I'm afraid of heights?  Over the years I've had a difficult time doing roof inspections at job-sites, because I get that gnawing feeling deep in my gut long before I get to the ladder. 

With a cheering squad of fabulous family and friends, I rappelled down that building...crazy hair, fogged glasses and all.  The only thing missing was my cape - next time.
