Monday Car Speak
Twenty minutes of threenager car-speak.
“I want my vitamins.”
“Yes, they’re in your juice*”
“No, I want more!”
Seriously, who the foxtrot wants more vitamins?
“I don’t want to go to school!”
“WHAAAT?!”
“NO!”
“WHAAAT, why not?”
“I don’t want you to say WHAT!”
Shrieking…”I want my butter!” Referring to the waffle with butter that she just dropped on the floor of the rig.
“I can’t reach your waffle because I’m driving.”
“I don’t want you to drive!”
“Okay, Linda (see the Linda, Linda video)…
Mondays are hard on all of us and we have to be kind to each other. I love you so and it’s my job to make sure you’re safe, so I can’t get your waffle until we park.”
“I don’t want to be safe!”
…seriously, keeping my mouth shut. Momma always said, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” I should take that advice more often...but in the meantime, we're trying to raise a good human being.
