500 Women, 6 Reindeer, 2 City Blocks...

What a fantastic weekend in Anchorage! The weather was a balmy 18 degrees and sunny - so it felt more like 40. HAHA. The annual fur rendezvous events are in full swing and some of us enjoyed them more than usual this weekend. We started early Saturday morning with some mimosas, followed by a brisk 3.1 mile run (Frostbite Footrace) around downtown Anchorage. I joined a group themed "Victorious Secrets" and "Big Test Icicles" - very fun!

Our Sunday events included the Running with the Reindeer, the name says it all. It was the first time this event took place and I think it will be a hit in the years to come...as long as PETA doesn't shut them down. We dressed ourselves in red and placed targets on our backs to encourage the reindeer. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. It was a fantastic end to a great weekend! Cheers to good times and good friends.
