Have Scissors, Will Travel
Terrific Tuesday calls for something extraordinary. First off, let me say that I am extremely impulsive and I never know when a bout of creative craziness will hit me. In fact, I should start traveling with my scissors and a sewing kit - I could do some serious damage. This morning it occurred around 6:30AM when I awoke with a sinus infection. You know the kind where you don't want to get out of bed and you need something cozy to wear? The best I could do was another sweater dress and thick tights. Then I looked over and saw a hot pink cashmere sweater in the "let's repurpose this shit" pile.
I chopped the sleeves off the sweater and sewed some lace on the top - voila - instant peekabo boot socks over my cozy tights. Fun, right?

This is becoming a recurring theme...last week I chopped off a tank top and sewed a piece of fabric to the bottom. BOOM - instant dress for the day.
Tuesday's lesson: don't be afraid to try. If it doesn't work, try it a different way. Sooner or later it will work and you can saunter around victorious! Until you realize that your skirt is tucked into your tights and you've been peacocking around the office all day. Whatever...still peacocking.
Have a terrific day!
