Holiday Madness
I know I'm not alone in thinking that the holiday madness gets worse as we get older!? I gave myself a break this "Black Friday" and did all of my shopping online, all the while congratulating myself on finding awesome coupons along the way. I would exclaim to my husband, "Oh look Bub, it's almost free". He was engrossed in college football and nursing a slight hangover, so the almost-enthusiastic reactions were fake. Boy, oh boy, do I love coupons!
Today, I found myself getting really excited about coupons arriving in my yahoo inbox. So, I hurriedly clicked to the sites and filled my basket with goodness and entered my coupon code - saving me 20, 30 or 40% more. Then I stopped...what the heck was I doing to myself? Really, I mean really...do I need to order more yoga pants from Victoria's Secret because they are on sale and they're really cute?! Um no...I can't even fit clean laundry into my closet. What will I do with more clothing? And more importantly, how will I explain said clothing to previously mentioned husband? Right.
It's supposed to be the season of giving...so I have a plan. Tonight, after I Skype with Rachel, I am going to clean out my closet of unworn winter clothing that might keep some folks warm. (And...just maybe it makes more room for after holiday shopping! HAHA....where does the madness end?!) And this weekend, I will drag my sister to the store to purchase a couple of "angel" gifts for those in need. In the spirit of giving, hopefully we can put a smile on a couple of faces. And besides, I'm sure I have some coupons somewhere... Heehee.
