A Little Bit of Motivation

I can see the counter!
Perhaps I motivated myself yesterday with all of the talk of unfinished projects or maybe the 7500IU of Vitamin D finally kicked my body into high speed?!  Needless to say, something worked and so did I.  :)  I blazed home after work, kissed the hubby, played with Tank, and then got down and dirty in the shop/woman-cave.  Then I spent four delicious hours in the  shop/woman-cave working on CLEAN/CLEAR counter space. The area is not "photo ready", but I was so excited to see the top of my sewing bench that I couldn't contain myself...it had to be documented!  And - I had to finish something!

I chose to finish the stockings (and some other stuff). Awesome-ness!  Here is a photo of the finished stockings, I will post a tutorial (for Dynasti) in a bit...
Our Alaska Family
Reversible Felt Coaster
In addition to the stockings, I whipped up a couple of projects.

I wanted to make some cool coasters, but I didn't want to run to Home Depot for tiles.  I made felt coasters instead...one set with some real sass.
These coasters are an inexpensive, easy to make gift that you can personalize.
Felt/Sequin Coasters

For the reversible felted set, I cut 4"x4"squares, trimmed them with my pinking shears, and sewed a seam around the edges.  Less than 15 minutes and you have a perfect-o hostess gift.  The sassy coasters are based on the same principle...two pink felt squares at 4"x4" trimmed with pinking shears.  The turquoise sequin fabric was cut into 5"x5" squares and sandwiched in between the felt.  They finished out very Grandma Nonie.  Love it!

Hey - person reading this, who is still procrastinating, get on it!  If ADD craft girl can spend a couple minutes a day to get 'er done, so can you!  :)

Jeez, after reading about how motivated you were and how much you got done I feel kind of bad sitting here. Now I've got to go do something productive.
